Eliza Dushku was born on December 30th 1980 and is an actress best known for her roles on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Tru Calling and Dollhouse. She has also featured in several movies including True Lies and The New Guy.

Eliza hails from the state of Massachusetts (she was born in Watertown.) Her father, Philip, is an administrator and teacher, and her mother, Judy, a professor of political science. She is of Albanian, English and Danish descent. Dushku attended school first in Chestnut Hill and then in Watertown. She was raised LDS and has three older brothers: Aaron, Ben and Nate.

Eliza landed her first role aged 10, a lead role in the movie, Last Night. In 1993 she followed her movie debut in This Boy's Life and then True Lies. Movie roles continued in Bye Bye Love and Race the Sun before guest starring in various TV shows. Dushku took a hiatus from acting to finish High School.

Her next role was to prove to be a breakthrough: a recurring guest spot on Buffy the Vampire Slayer as Faith Lehane which spanned two years and led to a guest spot on Angel. She went on to land the lead role on movie, Bring it On, followed by Soul Survivors, The New Guy and Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back. More movie roles followed until Eliza landed the title role in the FOX series, Tru Calling. Eliza then made her theater debut in Dog Sees God and featured in music videos for Nickelback and Simple Plan as well as voiceovers for video games.

More recently, she has featured in the movies, Nobel Sun and Sex and the Breakfast, to name just two, and once again, teamed up with Buffy director, Joss Whedon, to take the lead role as Echo in his FOX series, Dollhouse. She has lent her voice to the video game, Wet, undertaken other voiceover projects and landed a guest spot on The Big Bang Theory.

Dushku resides in Laurel Canyon, California and runs her own production company.
